Scholarships for Philadelphia Kids

Children's Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP) offers four-year scholarships to low-income families who have children in kindergarten through eighth grade.

The scholarships are awarded by random lottery and provided in partial amounts-up to a maximum grant of $2,025 per student, per year.

Here are some program details:

Eligibility: Families should reside in the City of Philadelphia, and children must be entering kindergarten through eighth grade by the fall of 2010. In addition, there are certain income limitations, which are provided on the online application (see next bullet).
Applying: Submit your application online by visiting the Children's Scholarship Fund Philadelphia website (see Related Items).
Deadline: All applications must be received no later than March 1. Due to staffing limitations, only the first 7,000 applications will be processed by CSFP and entered into the lottery. So act now!
Lottery drawing: CSFP will hold the lottery on March 15, when approximately 750 scholarships will be awarded.
